CAUTION
Starter with reduction gear set is susceptible to impact, which can result in magnet damage or demagnetization.
Note
When turning the commutator, undercut the insulating mica 0.5 to 0.8 mm (0.02 to 0.03 in), then finish turning
- lubricate teeth with moly grease
Starter does not turn engine when ignition/starter switch is operated
Test conditions connections on solenoid switch and ground straps (between engine and body) must be tightened and free of corrosion fully charged battery

Use voltmeter for measuring
Starter turns engine too slowly or engages and will not turn engine
