Sunroof / Moonroof Panel: Adjustments
Sunroof lid, adjustingNote: To reduce the possibility of wind noise, the front of sunroof lid must be lower than roof line and rear of sunroof lid must be higher than roof line.
Height adjustment, front
- remove sunroof lid headliner if necessary
- apply Loctite to all screws
- loosen bolt (D)
- loosen screws (A) and (B)
- adjust height by turning screw (E)
- turn adjusting screw (E) until sunroof cover is 2.0 mm below sunroof opening
Note: Adjustment screws must be threaded at least three turns into support.
- tighten screw (B) until sunroof cover is level with roof cutout
- tighten screw (A) until sunroof cover is 1.0 mm below roof cutout
- tighten nut (D)
^ 5.0 Nm
- adjust rear height of sunroof lid
Height adju8tment, rear
- loosen guide plate mounting screws (arrows)
- lift sunroof until it is 1.0 mm above sunroof cutout
- tighten screws (arrows)
- adjust water drain tray sealing gap
Water drain tray sealing gap, adjusting
- loosen screw (arrow) on both sides
- apply Loctite
- push water drain tray forward until gasket seals against sunroof lid
- tighten screw on both sides
- open sunroof until support (5) is accessible
- start nut (arrow) on stud (apply Loctite)
CAUTION! Do not tighten nut until secure or front guide will not move freely.
- place finger between cover and front guide (see illustration)
- tighten nut until pressure is felt against finger
- install cover
- close sunroof
- check height adjustment
- pull sunroof lid headliner forward until clips are fully engaged in sunroof support
- tilt sunroof up at rear and install springs
