Front wheel bearings with an outer diameter of 82 mm instead of 75 mm are installed in production vehicles, starting with the VIN numbers listed below:

44 GA 031 043 4 hole wheel hub without ABS
44 GA 034 402 4 hole wheel hub with ABS

44 GA 031 152 5 hole wheel hub without ABS
44 GA 031 973 5 hole wheel hub with ABS

The inner circlip has been omitted and the bearing now rests on a shoulder in the bearing housing.

FIGURE 1 - WHEEL BEARING, PRESSING OUT:

- first remove circlip
CAUTION

DO NOT grease wheel bearing seat in housing before pressing in bearing.

New wheel bearing installation kits will be supplied without the grease packet.
