The 5000CS Turbo Quattro has a revised rear suspension as of January 1986 production.
The revised layout is shown below. Ways of identifying the revised components are shown on page 2.
Previous rear suspension layout for the 5000CS Turbo Quattro is illustrated in the 5000 Repair Manual beginning on page 42.14.
Rear suspension parts cannot be interchanged from one version to the other.
Note
Crossmember 11 reinforced, see Fig. 1. Transverse link modified, see Fig. 3.
CAUTION
Tightening of all threaded connections fastening bonded rubber bushings in the rear suspension must only be completed with the vehicle standing on its wheels.

Before pressing in bushing, make sure the bushing collar is pointed in vehicle driving direction.
