- unscrew

pry out carefully to avoid damaging piston bore






slide outer lip onto piston

NOTE: If either piston or bore in brake caliper are corroded, pitted or scored, affected part must be replaced.

Fig. 4 Piston, Installing:

lubricate piston and cylinder bore lightly with brake cylinder paste
insert inner lip of dust cap into groove of brake cylinder






- press piston down while screwing in as far as possible

CAUTION: Outer lip of dust cap must slip into groove of piston
