Fuel Tank: Service and Repair

REMOVING
- disconnect battery ground cable
- drain fuel tank
- remove cover for fuel gauge (below carpet for luggage compartment)





- disconnect: (A) feed line and (B) return line
- disconnect terminal connector for fuel gauge (1)





- loosen hose clamp between fuel tank and filler neck (see arrow)
- disconnect ventilation and overflow hose from fuel tank connection





- remove splash guard mounting screw (arrow) and pull out filler neck





- loosen tension straps (arrows) and lower fuel tank





FUEL TANK INSTALLATION
Perform installation in reverse order

NOTE: Care must be taken that the ventilation line is secured with adhesive tape (A) and that the fuel lines are secured with clamp (B), and that they are mounted to the sensor housing.
