When repairing wiring harnesses, use only high quality electrical connectors suitable for use with electronic components.

To make connections, only use crimping pliers that make a "W"-type crimp. This type of crimp provides the necessary mechanical strength.

The following connector repair kits are available through your Audi Parts Department:

000 097 001 A Plastic box with crimping pliers
and an assortment of flat connectors and flat connecting sleeves

000 097 002 B Plastic storage box with ejector
tools 1.6-3.5, crimping pliers II and an assortment of cylindrical connectors, connecting sleeves, spring contacts and flat contacts.
