Parking Brake Pedal: Service and Repair

Parking Brake Pedal Replacement

1. Remove the driver's dashboard undercover Driver's Dashboard Undercover Removal / Installation.

2. Remove the driver's side kick panel.

3. Release the parking brake pedal.

4. Disconnect the parking brake switch connector (A) from the parking brake switch, and remove the harness clip (B).





5. Remove the parking brake pedal bracket mounting bolt (C) and nuts (D).

6. Remove the parking brake adjusting nut (E) and the cable clip (F).

7. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the parking brake pedal assembly (G), and remove the parking brake pedal assembly.

8. Remove the screw (A) from the parking brake switch (B) align the hole (C) with the screw by pressing the parking brake pedal.






9. Install the parking brake pedal assembly in the reverse order of removal, and note there items:

- Be careful not to bend or distort the cable.
- Adjust the parking brake Adjustments.
