Hood Support Strut Replacement

NOTE:

- Have an assistant help you when removing and installing the hood support strut.
- Use eye protection when doing this procedure.
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.

1. While an assistant supports the hood, pry out the clips (A) on both ends of the hood support strut (B) with a flat-tip screwdriver, then remove the support strut from the pivot bolts (C).

NOTE: Do not remove the clips from the support strut.






2. While an assistant supports the hood, set the support strut clips on the original position, then reattach the support strut on the pivot bolts by pushing the support strut onto the pivot.
