Speaker Test/Replacement




Speaker Test/Replacement

Door Speaker

1. Remove the door panel:

- Front Front Door Panel Removal / Installation
- Rear Rear Door Panel Removal / Installation

2. Remove the bolt (A). Then lift the speaker (B) straight up to release the lower clips (C).

NOTICE
If you pull the speaker out too far from the door, you will damage the lower clips.





3. Disconnect the 2P connector (D), and remove the speaker.

4. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be 2 Ohms.

5. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the door speaker.

Front Center Speaker

1. Remove the speaker lid (A), and disconnect the sunlight sensor connector (B).






2. Remove the self-tapping screws and the front center speaker (A).





3. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be about 2 Ohms.

4. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the front center speaker.

Tweeter

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations, and the precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or service.

1. Remove the A-pillar trim.

2. Release the hooks, and remove the tweeter (A).





3. Check the capacitor (B) condition. If any malfunction is found, replace the tweeter.

4. Measure the resistance between the tweeter (A) terminal No. 2 and the outside terminal of the capacitor. There should be about 6 Ohms.





5. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the tweeter.

Satellite Speaker (with navigation)

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations, and the precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or service.

1. Remove the quarter pillar trim.

2. Detach the clip (A), and remove the self-tapping screws and the satellite speaker (B).





3. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be about 4 Ohms.

4. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the speaker.

Subwoofer (with navigation)

1. Remove the rear cargo support beam Rear Cargo Support Beam Replacement.

2. Disconnect the connector (A), then remove the bolts (B) and the subwoofer (C).






Input Test

3. With the subwoofer 8P connector is connected, make the input tests at the connector according to the table.






4. If the input test proves OK and the subwoofer has no sound, replace the subwoofer.

Subwoofer (without navigation)

1. Remove the rear cargo support beam Rear Cargo Support Beam Replacement.

2. Disconnect the connector (A), then remove the bolts (B) and the subwoofer (C).





3. Measure the resistance between the terminals No. 2 and No. 7 and between terminals No. 3 and No. 8. There should be about 2 Ohms.

4. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the subwoofer.
