Bluetooth cell phone audio function SKIP and PAUSE/RESUME do not work (without navigation)
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first Battery Test.
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- Check if the audio system functions normally.
- Check if it functioned normally at the time of initial pairing.
- Some mobile phones do not support the function.
- Check on-line at www.acura.com/handsfreelink or call the HFL call center at 888-528-7876 to make sure the Bluetooth cell phone is compatible with the HFL system and that there are no known issues.
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
2. Turn on the audio unit, and check that the SKIP and the SETUP buttons function normally with the audio and HVAC switch panel.
Is the audio unit operation OK?
YES -
Go to step 3.
NO -
Go to Audio unit button does not work troubleshooting Audio Unit Button Does Not Work (Without Navigation).
3. Check that music plays with the Bluetooth device.
Is the system normal?
YES -
- If you have the client's Bluetooth cell phone, go to step 5.
- If you have not the client's Bluetooth cell phone, go to step 4.
NO -
Go to No sound when Bluetooth audio is used troubleshooting No Sound When Bluetooth Audio Is Used (Without Navigation).
4. Pair a known-good cell phone to the client's vehicle.
Can you pair the Bluetooth cell phone, and does it operate normally?
YES -
The client's Bluetooth cell phone is defective or not compatible.
NO -
Substitute a known-good HandsFreeLink control unit Service and Repair, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original HandsFreeLink control unit Service and Repair.
5. Pair the client's phone to a known-good vehicle.
Can you pair the Bluetooth cell phone, and does it operate normally?
YES -
Substitute a known-good HandsFreeLink control unit Service and Repair, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original HandsFreeLink control unit Service and Repair.
NO -
The client's Bluetooth cell phone is defective or not compatible.
