Fuel Fill Door Adapter Replacement

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the body.

1. Remove the fuel pipe protector Fuel Pipe Protector Replacement.

2. Remove the fuel cap (A) by turning it counterclockwise, and remove the fuel cap wire (B) from the hinge arm (C). Remove the screw.






3. Remove the rear inner fender as needed Service and Repair.

4. Release the drain tube (A). Remove the bolts, and lower the fuel filler pipe (B), then remove it from the fuel fill door adapter (C).






5. Release the hooks (A), and remove the fuel adapter cover (B).






6. Turn the fuel cap adapter (A), then remove it.






7. Pinch the hooks (A) from inside the vehicle, and remove the grommet (B) from the body.






8. Release the hook (A), then remove the grommet (B) from the fuel fill door latch (C).





9. Install the adapter in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Make sure the fuel cap adapter is properly installed on the fuel filler pipe.
- Apply medium strength liquid thread lock to the fuel filler pipe mounting bolts before reinstallation.
- Install the grommet by pushing on the hook areas until the hooks snap into place.
