The BSI indicator does not go off, or does not come on
NOTE:
- If the system malfunctions, always check for DTCs with the HDS.
- If a DTC is stored, troubleshoot the DTC first.
1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode, then wait for 10 seconds.
2. Check that the BSI indicator comes on for about 2 seconds and then goes off.
Does the BSI indicator go off?
YES -
The system is OK.
NO -
Go to step 3.
3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES -
Troubleshoot the indicated DTC(s).
NO -
Go to step 4.
4. Do the gauge control module self-diagnostic function Testing and Inspection.
Does the side BSI indicator blink?
YES -
Replace the BSI control unit BSI Control Unit Removal/Installation.
NO -
Replace the gauge control module Service and Repair, and recheck.
