The MID displays and HFL message do not go away after pressing the HFL BACK button (without navigation)

1. Connect the HDS to the DLC How to Troubleshoot the HandsFreeLink System.

2. Clear the DTCs with the HDS How to Troubleshoot the HandsFreeLink System.

3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode and then the ON mode.

4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Are there any DTCs indicated?

YES -

Repair the indicated DTCs.

NO -

Go to step 5.

5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

6. Substitute a known-good HandsFreeLink control unit Service and Repair, then turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode, and recheck the multi-information display (MID).

Are the HFL digits cleared?

YES -

Replace the original HandsFreeLink control unit Service and Repair.

NO -

Replace the gauge control module Service and Repair.
