Rear Engine Mount Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Remove the engine compartment covers. Service and Repair

2. Do the battery removal procedure. Moonroof Closing Force and Opening Drag Check

3. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Service and Repair

4. Remove the cowl cover. Service and Repair

5. Remove the strut brace. Service and Repair

6. Remove the harness clamp (A), then disconnect the harness connectors (B) on the left strut tower.






7. Remove the two harness clamps (A) and the brake booster vacuum hose clamp (B) from the under-hood fuse/relay box mounting bracket (C).






8. Remove the mounting bolt (A) and the two mounting nuts (B) from the under-hood fuse/relay box mounting bracket, then tilt the under-hood fuse/relay box forward.






9. Remove the vacuum hose (A) from the clamp (B) and disconnect the vacuum hose from the three way valve (C).






10. Remove the rear engine mount stop (A), then remove the rear engine mount bolt (B).






11. Remove the rear engine mount mounting bolts (A).






12. Lift and support the engine with a jack and a wood block under the engine/transmission.

13. Remove the rear engine mount (A) from the top by sliding it out, and lifting it out from the driver's side.






Installation

1. Install the rear engine mount (A) from the top by sliding it into place from the driver's side and route the vacuum hose (B) through the hole in the mount base bracket (C).






2. Align the rear engine mount with its mounting holes and install the rear engine mount mounting bolts (A).

3. Remove the jack and the wood block.






4. Tighten the rear engine mount bolt (A), then install the rear engine mount stop (B).






5. Connect the vacuum hose (A) to the three way valve (B) and install the vacuum hose on its clamp (C) at the mark (D).






6. Install the under-hood fuse/relay box with the mounting bracket, and tighten the two mounting nuts (A) and the mounting bolt (B).






7. Install the two harness clamps (A) and the brake booster vacuum hose clamp (B) to the under-hood fuse/relay box mounting bracket (C).






8. Connect the harness connectors (A), then install the harness clamp (B) on the left strut tower.






9. Install the strut brace. Service and Repair

10. Install the cowl cover. Service and Repair

11. Install the air cleaner assembly. Procedures

12. Do the battery installation procedure. Moonroof Closing Force and Opening Drag Check

13. Install the engine compartment covers. Service and Repair
