Symptom Troubleshooting: Doors automatically relock 30 seconds after being unlocked with the transmitter even though a door has been opened

Doors automatically relock 30 seconds after being unlocked with the transmitter even though a door has been opened

NOTE:

- Opening the trunk does not cancel this function, only a open door signal cancels the automatic relock.

- Before troubleshooting, check the B-CAN DTCs. If any DTC is indicated, refer to the B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A troubleshoot the indicated DTC(s) first.

- The driver's door switch and the left rear door switch are connected to the driver's MICU, and the front passenger's door switch and the right rear door switch are connected to the passenger's MICU.

1. Move the interior light switch to the DOOR position.

2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

3. Watch the front individual map light and the multi-information display on the gauge control module.

Does the front individual map light and multi-information display come on when each door is opened, and go off when each door is closed?
YES - Substitute a known-good driver's (or passenger's) MICU and recheck. If the symptom goes away, replace the original MICU.

NO - Repair open in the wire between the driver's (or passenger's) MICU Driver's Under-Dash Fuse/Relay Box (MICU) Removal/Installation and each door switch, or a bad door switch.
