Power Seat Control Unit




DTC Troubleshooting: U0155 (Power Seat Control Unit)

DTC U0155: Lost Communication with Gauge Control Module (VSP/NE Frame)

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A. Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode and then the ON mode.

3. Wait for 6 seconds or more.

4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC U0155 indicated?
YES - Go to step 5.

NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections between the power seat control unit and the gauge control module.


5. From the BODY ELECTRICAL system select menu, select UNIT INFORMATION, and then select CONNECTED UNIT.

Is the gauge control module detected?
YES - Go to the power seat control unit input test. Testing and Inspection

NO - Go to step 6.


6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

7. Disconnect the gauge control module 32P connector.

8. Disconnect power seat control unit connector B (40P).

9. Check for continuity between power seat control unit connector B (40P) terminals No. 39 and No. 40 and gauge control module 32P connector terminals No. 25 and No. 26 individually.

Is there continuity?
YES - Replace the gauge control module. Service and Repair

NO - Open or poor connection in the wire between the gauge control module and the power seat control unit.
