Power Switch Will Not Turn ON (No Information Display and No Sound)
Special Tools Required- Radio test harness breakout box 07AAZ-SDAA100
- Radio test harness 070AZ-SEAA200
Power switch will not turn ON (No information display and no sound)
1. With the ignition switch ON (II), push the power switch ON to see if the audio unit turns ON.
Does the power turn on?
YES - Operation is normal.
NO - Go to step 2.
2. Turn the ignition switch OFF, then check the No. 6 (10 A) and No. 32 (7.5 A) fuses in the under-dash fuse/relay box.
Are the fuses OK?
YES - Go to step 3.
NO - Replace the fuse(s) and recheck.
3. Remove the audio-HVAC display module. Check that audio unit connector A (20P) is properly connected.
Are the connectors connected properly?
YES - Go to step 4.
NO - Reconnect the connector, and recheck the function.
4. Measure the voltage between audio unit connector (20P) terminal No. 10 and body ground.
Is there battery voltage?
YES - Go to step 5.
NO - Repair the open circuit or poor connection in wire between No. 6 (10 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box and audio unit connector A (20P) terminal No. 10.
5. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
6. Measure the voltage between the audio unit connector A (20P) terminal No. 2 and body ground.
Is there battery voltage?
YES - Go to step 7.
NO - Repair open circuit or poor connection in the wire between No. 32 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box and audio unit connector A (20P) terminal No. 2.
7. Turn the ignition switch OFF, then measure the voltage between audio unit connector A (20P) terminal No. 20 and body ground.
Is there less than 0.1 V?
YES - Go to step 8.
NO - Repair open wire between audio unit connector A (20P) terminal No. 20 and body ground (G504).
8. Remove the audio unit.
9. Connect the test harness (070AZ-SEAA200A with navigation or 070AZ-SEAA200B without navigation) to the radio test harness breakout box (07AAZ-SDAA100).
10. Connect the test harness (070AZ-SEAA200A with navigation or 070AZ-SEAA200B without navigation) to the printed circuit board connector.
11. Connect the ohm meter to the special tool (07AAZ-SDAA100) POWER and GND terminals.
12. Push the POWER button and check for continuity between the POWER and GND terminals.
Is there continuity?
YES - Replace the audio unit.
NO - Replace the audio-HVAC display panel.
