Low Fuel Lamp/Indicator: Testing and Inspection

Low Fuel Indicator Light Test

1. Do the fuel gauge sending unit test.
- If the system is OK, go to step 2.
- If the system has any malfunction, repair it.

2. Turn the ignition switch ON (II) with the float at the E (EMPTY) position.
- If the low fuel indicator light is on, go to step 3.
- If the low fuel indicator light is not on, refer to the low fuel indicator Circuit Diagram and check the circuit.

3. Lift the float above the LOW position.
- If the low fuel indicator light goes off, the system is OK.
- If the low fuel indicator light is still on, refer to the low fuel indicator Circuit Diagram and check the circuit.
