Brake Hose/Line: Testing and Inspection

1. Inspect the brake hoses for damage, deterioration, leaks, interference and twisting.
2. Check the brake lines for damage, rusting and leakage. Also check for bent brake lines.
3. Check for leaks at hose and line joints or connections, and retighten if necessary.
4. Check the master cylinder and ABS modulator unit for damage and leakage.

CAUTION: Replace the brake hose clip whenever the brake hose is serviced.

FRONT BRAKES:
Brake hose X caliper (banjo bolt) 34 Nm (3.5 kgf.m; 25 ft.lbs.)

REAR BRAKES:
Brake line X brake hose 15 Nm (1.5 kgf.m; 11 ft.lbs.)
Brake hose X caliper /(banjo bolt) 34 Nm (3.5kgf.m; 25 ft.lbs.)

MASTER CYLINDER:
Master cylinder X brake line 19 Nm (1.9 kgf.m; 14 ft.lbs.)

ABS MODULATOR UNIT:
ABS modulator unit X brake line 15 Nm (1.5 kgf.m; 11 ft.lbs.)

PROPORTIONING CONTROL VALVE:
Proportioning control valve X brake line 15 Nm (1.5 kgf.m; 11 ft.lbs.)
