Disassembly/Reassembly

NOTE:
- Identify parts as they are removed to ensure reinstallation in the original locations.
- Inspect the rocker shafts and rocker arms.
- Rocker arms must be installed in the same positions if reused.
- When removing or installing the rocker arm assembly, do not remove the rocker shaft mounting bolts. The bolts will keep springs and rocker arms on the shaft.
- Prior to assembly, clean all the parts in solvent, dry them and apply lubricant to any contact points.

Reassembly Tips

- When reassembling the primary rocker arm, carefully apply air pressure to the oil passage of the rocker arm.
- Apply oil to the scynronizing pistons when reassembling.
- Bundle the rocker arms with a rubber band to keep them together as a set.
