CAUTION: Whenever the ignition switch is ON, or has been turned OFF for less than three minutes, be careful not to bump the SRS unit; the airbags could accidentally deploy and cause damage or injuries.

Besides indicating an abnormality in the SRS unit, DTC 8-6 may also indicate that two problems equivalent to DTC 1-1 and 2-4, 1-4 and 2-1, or 1-4 and 2-4 occurred at the same time. Proceed in the order shown.
